1980s asian inspired silk gown has silk satin bands at the bodice and a sheer embroidered yoke and sleeves. Embroidery is a delicate floral vine pattern with matte black sequins scattered throughout. The body of the dress is semi-sheer black silk chiffon, layered over black silk 4 ply crepe. Invisible zipper at back.
This dress is absolutely beautifully made, and the fabrics are gorgeous. Interior construction details such as generous finished seams and thread chains at the hemline to keep the layers of silk together attest to the quality standards of the maker. Sadly, the designer's label is missing, but there is a size label - size 6 - and since this is newer vintage, it is a modern size. Other small tags read "Made in USA" and "dry clean only".
